Description

Far Cry 3 (stylized as FARCRY3) is an video game racing action and first-person shooter, created by Ubisoft Montreal and released on November 29, 2012, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. It is the third game in the Far Cry saga, following Far Cry (2004) and Far Cry 2 (2008).

The video game places the player in the role of Jason Brody, an American tourist stranded on the Rook Islands (located somewhere in Southeast Asia) and cut off from civilization. This wild paradise is controlled by some pirates, who turn the islands into a lawless place where violence is the norm. The main objective is to rescue the protagonist's friends and girlfriend, who have been captured by the pirates, and finally escape these islands.

On February 2, 2018, it was announced that the title would come to consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox Oneunder the name Far Cry 3: Classic Edition and would go on sale mid-year. This edition could also be obtained early by purchasing the season pass for Far Cry 5.3
